Local, licensed, and dedicated to quality.
Hawthorn Dryer Vent and Chimney Cleaning Corp has been the go-to chimney sweep for Ridgewood homeowners who treat their fireplaces like the heart of their home. We don’t just clean, we catch issues before they become hazards. Ridgewood’s older homes, with their brick fireplaces and wood-burning traditions, need a chimney sweep that understands creosote buildup, draft issues, and the quiet signs of trouble. Our crews spot those early, before a blocked flue or cracked liner turns a cozy evening into a hazard. That’s why we focus on maintenance, not just one-time sweeps. A chimney that’s inspected and cleaned right keeps your family safe and your fireplace running efficiently all winter.
What makes us different in Ridgewood isn’t our gear or speed, it’s how we spot problems early. Most chimney sweeps show up when there’s already smoke in the room or a draft that won’t quit. We come in before that happens. Our inspections catch small cracks, loose mortar, or even moisture damage that could lead to costly repairs down the line. Ridgewood’s humid summers and cold winters create the perfect conditions for chimney issues, so we make sure your system is ready for both. Whether it’s a first-time sweep or a seasonal check, we treat every chimney like it’s our own. No shortcuts, no upselling, just honest work that keeps your home’s most-used feature running smoothly.
We also handle dryer vent cleaning for Ridgewood homes, because a clogged vent isn’t just a fire risk, it’s a hidden efficiency killer. Lint buildup forces your dryer to work harder, wasting energy and shortening its life. Our vents get cleaned thoroughly, with no leftover debris to spark a fire. What you won’t find with us are the generic crews that treat every job the same. We know Ridgewood’s homes, some with historic fireplaces, others with modern inserts, and we adjust our service to fit. Call us when you’re ready for a chimney sweep that thinks like a Ridgewood homeowner, not just a technician.
Most chimney sweeps in Ridgewood will clean your flue and call it a day. We don’t. We treat your chimney like it’s part of our own home, checking for hidden issues, explaining what we find, and giving you a clear plan to keep it safe. Whether it’s a routine sweep or a major repair, we stand by our work with a 30-day warranty. And because we service Ridgewood full-time, we respond faster than the big chains, often the same day you call.
Skipping a chimney inspection or sweep in Ridgewood can lead to expensive repairs down the road. A small crack in your liner might cost $200 to fix now, but if it goes unnoticed, it could mean a full reline at $3,000, or worse, a chimney fire that damages your home. We’ve seen it happen too many times. Our inspections catch these problems early, saving you money and headaches. It’s not just about cleaning; it’s about preventing the next big repair.
Lint buildup in your dryer vent isn’t just a nuisance, it’s a fire hazard. In Ridgewood, where many homes have older ductwork, lint can travel far from the dryer, trapping heat and creating a perfect fire risk. We don’t just clean the vent; we check for proper airflow, seal gaps, and make sure your dryer is running efficiently. A clean vent means faster drying times, lower energy bills, and peace of mind knowing you’re not at risk for a laundry room fire.
